Comedian Artie Lange is keeping a low profile these days, but a new rare photo suggests he’s doing well.
The former Howard Stern Showregular, now 58, was spotted waving in a photo taken at fellow comedian Dave Attell’s birthday dinner. In the photo posted to Instagram, Lange is wearing a backwards baseball hat, sporting a mustache and beard, and has his right hand in the air, acknowledging the camera.
Lange was one of several comedians seated at Attell’s birthday dinner table, alongside Nick Griffin, Russ Meneve, Ian Fidance, David Juskow. He was also seated next to his sister, Stacey Lange.

“What a birthday..thank you all for thinking of me. see you down the road at a club sometime soon..,” Attell captioned the post.
While the celebration was for Attell, many fans zeroed in on Lange, whose appearance immediately caught attention in the comments.
“Is that Artie Lange I see? He’s looking a lot better these days!” one user wrote.
Another added, “So great to see Artie.”
“Hell yeah, glad to see Artie there,” one commenter reacted.
“So happy to see artie,” another wrote, while one person said, “Glad to see that Artie is looking well.”
The reactions come a little over a month after Stern’s former sidekick was spotted in December with what appeared to be a reconstructed nose — a notable change following years of visible damage.

Lange has been open about his struggles with substance abuse and the toll it took on his health. Last September, the former Mad TV alum revealed he was “eight months clean and sober,” and also addressed the condition of his nose, saying he planned to fix it “eventually.”
As for how the damage occurred, Lange has never shied away from discussing it. He has cited cocaine use as a major factor and has also admitted that he once snorted glass. Over the years, Lange has been in and out of rehab and has faced multiple legal issues tied to his addictions, including past arrests for heroin and cocaine possession.
