Erika Kirk is angry with Jimmy Kimmel over recent comments he made about First Lady Melania Trump.

During the Wednesday, April 29, episode of The Charlie Kirk Show, Erika, 37, discussed the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner on Saturday, April 25, where the gunman, Cole Tomas Allen, allegedly was trying to assassinate President Donald Trump.

“There has never been a president who has faced this many assassination attempts in America’s entire history, and after each one, the reaction from the far left has been at best a shrug and in some cases a sick disappointment that the shooter was unsuccessful,” the Turning Point USA CEO stated.

“We are all human beings, and if you can just pause and just take a minute and ask yourself, ‘how would you feel if even just one person made cruel jokes about the attempted murder of your loved one?'” she continued. “That is what Jimmy Kimmel did to the first lady. He said, ‘She had the glow of an expectant widow.’ Just 48 hours before the nightmare almost became a reality.”

Erika was referring to Kimmel’s Alternative White House Correspondents’ Dinner bit he did on the Thursday, April 23 episode of  Jimmy Kimmel Live! During the bit, the comedian, 58, pretended to talk to Melania, 56, saying she looked “so beautiful” before joking, “you have a glow like an expectant widow.”

“You know, Melania’s birthday is on Sunday. That’s right. She’s planning to celebrate at home the same way she always does, looking out a window and whispering, ‘What have I done?’ he further joked.

Melania, of course, did not find Kimmel’s remarks funny, taking to X on Monday, April 27, with a lengthy statement slamming him.

“Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy- his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America,” she wrote. “People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate.”

“A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him. Enough is enough,” Melania added. “It is time for ABC to take a stand.  How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community.”
