Candace Owens Calls for ‘Witch Hunt’ Over Alleged Spell Cast on Charlie Kirk Before Assassination

In her latest eyebrow-raising claim, Candace Owens is asking for the public to help identify a witch who claims to have cast a spell on Charlie Kirk just days before he was killed.

Owens, who has been outspoken about her friendship with the late Turning Point USA co-founder, posted a video to her social media accounts on Tuesday, February 17, spotlighting a bizarre theory about Kirk, who was 31 when he was fatally shot on September 10, 2025.

“In the craziness of the aftermath of Charlie’s assassination we were told that there were witches that …had been contacted by a journalist and then those witches put a spell on him. The journalist published the article on [September] 8th [2025],” Owens, 36, added, referring to a story that was posted on Jezebel and removed after Kirk’s death. “Charlie somehow saw it very quickly on the 9th. A priest came over to pray over him and by the 10th he was dead.”

The conservative commentator said she recently “decided to revisit” the curse tale and was “shocked to learn” that the so-called “witch” that “cast a spell on” Kirk had an Etsy page that was later suspended. Owens dug up the former Etsy page, which was named “The Strix Sisters.”

“They had been on Etsy for just under a month and suddenly someone bought a spell from them and Charlie Kirk was dead,” she claimed. Owens noted that the original journalist who wrote the story — which Jezebel claimed was a “satirical” piece in a statement to Variety — was also new to the profession.

The podcast host added that she then located a Daily Mail article published on September 26, 2025 which identified the “witch” who “cursed” Kirk as someone named “Priestess Lilin.”

“I’m just curious how the Daily Mail writer… felt confident that they were actually speaking to the individuals who cursed Charlie Kirk. Did they give them their real names?” Owens questioned.

Now, Owens is asking online sleuths for answers.

“Am I technically asking the Internet to go on a witch hunt? Yeah, I want the names of these priestesses. Their real names. I think that’s a fair ask. I have a feeling this might be another piece of the puzzle. Who put the ‘spell’ on Charlie Kirk that he was so concerned about the night before, which I call BS on,” she continued. “There were a lot of crazy people who wrote articles about us. Charlie losing sleep over a priestess who didn’t exist a month ago, seems a little extra to me.”

Owens has made numerous claims and shared theories about Kirk’s death, including questioning his widow Erika Kirk’s behavior following his death. Erika, who shared two children with her husband, assumed the role of Turning Point USA CEO after his passing.
