Bryan Kohberger apparently isn’t just going with the flow in prison, and he’s reportedly filed a formal complaint accusing Idaho Maximum Security Institution staff of depriving him of food.
In a handwritten grievance obtained by People, the 30-year-old killer whined that guards weren’t giving him every item on his meal tray.
“I have on several occasions not received all items of food on my tray,” he scribbled, adding that without the missing portions his diet “does not meet the nutritional standard.”
Kohberger, a strict vegan, insisted on “without exception” getting replacements for any missing food items.
However, food isn’t his only gripe. Just 48 hours into his stint at Idaho Maximum Security Institution, Kohberger begged to be moved out of his cell block, claiming fellow inmates have been threatening him with sexual assault. While a corrections officer confirmed that a comment was made, no action was taken because the officer couldn’t identify who made the remark, according to an article from the Idaho Statesman.

“Unit 2 of J Block is an environment that I wish to transfer from,” he wrote, even requesting a sit-down with an officer to plead his case. But prison staff seemingly brushed it off and Captain Brian Crowl told him to “give it some time.”
Kohberger, a former criminology PhD student, is serving life without parole for the November 2022 murders of the Idaho Four:Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Ethan Chapin, 20, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Madison Mogen, 21.
