Bryan Kohberger’s Fellow Inmates ‘Making His Life Absolutely Miserable’ Behind Bars After Idaho Murders

As Bryan Kohberger serves four consecutive life sentences for the violent killings of the Idaho Four, his fellow inmates have been doing everything they can to unnerve and harass him.

Kohberger, 30, was transferred from a Latah County jail to the Idaho Maximum Security Institution in the city of Kuna on July 30. According to former detective Chris McDonough, the other inmates were “waiting for him” and are currently “making his life absolutely miserable” despite the fact that the convicted murderer is in solitary confinement.

“They got together and said, ‘OK, well, you know, how do we harass this guy?’” McDonough told NewsNation. “Apparently, they set this up long before he got there… the guards were unaware of it until it started happening.”

“They’re utilizing the vent system. They’re kicking the doors. They’re taunting him,” he continued. “They’re basically, you know, torturing him through, you know, using psychology. And my goodness, he’s complaining.”

While Kohberger isn’t believed to be in immediate physical danger, McDonough said the other inmates came up with the “creative” plan to harass him “to the point where it’s basically driving him crazy.”

As the National Enquirer previously reported, Kohberger is residing in a single person cell on J Block of the maximum security prison facility. This section is known for housing some of the most violent offenders – a descriptor that certainly fits Kohberger after he pleaded guilty to brutally stabbing Ethan Chapin, 20, Xana Kernodle, 20, Madison Mogen, 21, and Kaylee Goncalves, 21, to death in November 2022.

He is expected to remain at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution for the rest of his life.
