Bret Michaels says he’s focusing on a potential reunion tour after his Poison bandmate recently claimed the frontman is the reason it isn’t happening in the first place.

After drummer Rikki Rockett claimed in an interview published earlier this week that Michaels, 62, wanted 600 percent more of the profits from a 40th anniversary tour than the rest of the band, the lead singer appeared to address the drama on Facebook.

In a post shared Wednesday, January 21, the Celebrity Apprentice 3 winner first congratulated the band Green Day and singer Bad Bunny, who will both perform at Super Bowl LX on Sunday, February 8.

“I cannot wait to watch it and I cannot wait to announce a Bucket List NFL dream come true (stay tuned…),” he said, before calling out Poison drummer Rockett, 64, bassist Bobby Dall, 62, and lead guitarist C.C. DeVille, 63.

“To my friend Rikki Rockett,” Michaels continued, “have fun tonight with my good buddy [radio personality] Eddie Trunk and enjoy the Metal Hall of Fame ceremony. As always, I consider Poison to be Bobby, C.C., Rikki and myself.”

“I also make no bones about loving the BMB [Bret Michaels Band] and will always have both in my life,” he said. “Bottom line – I love music, I love the fans and I’m always forever grateful.  Onward & upward and let’s all focus on the positive in 2026, and the potential of a future reunion.”

After the band planned to reunite for their 40th anniversary, their 2026 tour was put on hold. “It didn’t work,” Rockett said, adding that they had a “great offer” but decided not to move forward.

“[Michaels] wanted the lion’s share of the money, to the point where it makes it not possible to even do it,” Rockett claimed. “It’s like $6 to every one of our dollars. You just can’t work that way.”

Still, Rockett explained that he’s “not quarreling” with Michaels, adding: “We just didn’t come to [an] agreement.”

“Every member of this band has given me so much privilege in life,” he said, noting that he hopes they can make something work in the future.

Poison formed in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, in 1983 and have had hit songs including including “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” “Talk Dirty to Me,” “Fallen Angel,” “Your Mama Don’t Dance,” “Something to Believe In” and “Life Goes On,” among many others.
