Authorities in Colorado are seeking the public’s help identifying “Booster Skirt Bandits,” members of an organized retail theft operation known for using “booster skirts” to conceal stolen items.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday shared surveillance images of three suspects wearing alleged booster skirts to shoplift “thousands of dollars” worth of makeup from Walgreens stores in the area.

“Do you know what a booster skirt is?” the sheriff’s office wrote alongside the photos. “It’s a specially modified long skirt, often designed with elastic, hidden inner linings, or internal pockets, used in organized retail theft.”

The sheriff’s office said this shoplifting crew operates in teams of 2–4, with one operating as a lookout while the others stuff their skirts full of merchandise.

Over the course of just two days at the end of July, the crew hit three different Walgreens stores in Highlands Ranch, investigators said.

The suspects’ getaway vehicle is described as a silver minivan with dented body damage on the rear driver’s side, and mismatched rims/wheels on the driver’s side.

Anyone with information about the suspects’ identities is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867) and reference case 2026-900570.
