Slurpee Day is back at 7-Eleven on 7/11 — and this year, it comes with a twist you can taste and see.

On July 11, 7-Eleven is celebrating its 98th birthday by giving away free small Slurpee drinks at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes locations nationwide. The tradition has become a summertime staple, but in 2025, the convenience chain is taking the celebration a step further with what its calling “Tongue-toos” — temporary tongue tattoos activated by Slurpee drinks.

These limited-edition tattoos appear on the tongue after sipping a Slurpee and feature the brands signature “S” logo in blue, green, red, or purple — a nod to the iconic stained tongues that longtime fans associate with the frozen drink. 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards members can score these tongue-toos at select locations in major cities including Los Angeles, New York, Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago, and more.

In addition to the tattoos, one fan-favorite is making a splashy return: the Mountain Dew Infinite Swirl flavor, a bold pineapple-berry blend, is now available in Slurpee, Big Gulp, and 20-ounce bottle formats for the first time.

“This Slurpee Day, we’re mixing things up with new flavors, our celebratory swag and even a twist designed to mark tastebuds in the coolest way possible,” said Marissa Jarratt, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing & Sustainability Officer at 7-Eleven, Inc. “We love finding new ways to amp up the Slurpee drink experience and creating lasting moments for our customers, on Slurpee Day and all year round.”

Customers who scan their rewards information when redeeming their free Slurpee on July 11 will also receive a coupon for another free small Slurpee, valid through July 31. And for those who prefer to celebrate at home, the 7NOW Delivery app is offering $7.11 off any $20+ purchase with the promo code 711DAY — valid for one day only.

The party doesnt stop there. Through the end of 2025, loyalty members can play in-app games for a chance to win $5,000 daily by scanning the 7-Eleven or Speedway rewards app while purchasing qualifying items such as Slurpee and Big Gulp drinks, Big Bite hot dogs, or fuel.

And for superfans or birthday twins, the retailers 7Collection online shop is bringing back its Birthday Collection capsule, featuring co-branded Slurpee gear to help fans wear their frozen drink obsession in style.
