Woman Caught on Coldplay Kiss Cam Said Kids Thought ‘They Were Going to Die’ Amid Scandal

Kristin Cabot, the former human resources chief who was caught canoodling with her CEO Andy Byron at a Coldplay concert, revealed that she encountered some serious harassment amid the fallout.

In an interview with the New York Times published Thursday, December 18, the 53-year-old admitted that she was at a loss following the viral moment.

She was swiftly met with backlash for her behavior, and both she and Byron left their positions at the company Astronomer.

“I didn’t know what to do to support my kids correctly,” she told the Times, revealing that she and her family would be called out in public.

The publication reported that Cabot would receive messages, including some that were allegedly threatening or intimidating in nature.

“I know you shop at Market Basket and I’m coming for you,” read one, she said.

Cabot told the Times that she played one of the messages for her mother over speakerphone — and her teenage son and daughter were able to hear.

“They were already in really bad shape, and that’s when the wheels fell off the cart,” Cabot said. “Because my kids were afraid that I was going to die and they were going to die.”

According to Cabot, she was separated from her husband, Andrew Cabot, at the time of the concert. She has claimed that she didn’t have a sexual affair with Byron, and that the Coldplay outing was the first and only time that they kissed.

“I made a bad decision and had a couple of High Noons and danced and acted inappropriately with my boss,” she admitted. “I took accountability, and I gave up my career for that. That’s the price I chose to pay. I want my kids to know that you can make mistakes, and you can really screw up. But you don’t have to be threatened to be killed for them.”
