The Super Bowl halftime show is one of the biggest gigs a musician can get, and Kanye West thinks he knows the reason why he hasn’t been asked to perform yet.

West, 47, expressed his suspicions that his long-time beef with Taylor Swift has something to do with the fact that he hasn’t booked the big Super Bowl gig. The rapper took to X to share his thoughts on the matter via a post on Monday, April 7, that has since been deleted.

“I never was allowed to do the Super Bowl because of three moments. George Bush don’t care about Black people. The Taylor Swift moment. Wearing a MAGA hat,” West wrote in the post before he added, “How it feel to be the best living and blocked from the main stage because of being ahead of my time. (And I mean all of this was before I went full Nazi of course).”

The “Runaway” rapper has been in a feud with Swift, 35, and her dedicated fandom since he interrupted her acceptance speech for the Best Female Video award at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. West joined the songstress on stage and took the microphone from her to give Beyoncé and her “Single Ladies” video – which was also a nominee in the category – a shoutout. The Grammy Award-winning hip-hop artist also used Swift’s name in a song titled “Famous,” which she claims the rapper did so without her permission.

West declared himself a Nazi as recently as February during a rant on social media where he praised Adolf Hitler and doubled down on prior antisemitic comments in dozens of posts.

Despite headlining massive festivals like Coachella, Glastonbury, and Rolling Loud, the “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” rapper has yet to perform at the Super Bowl — not as a main act or as a guest.
