Whoopi Goldberg seemingly had a slip of the tongue during the Thursday, February 26, episode of The View.
The hosts were discussing Bill Gates’ connection to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, per Entertainment Weekly.
“We see this all the time. People who are very, very powerful will look for the person who’s more powerful than them. It just happens,” the comedian, 70, said. “That’s why you always hear about the guys that you never see but they’ve got the money and they’re taking care of a lot of folks.”
Cohost Sunny Hostin then wondered why these powerful men gave Epstein “so much money,” the outlet reported.
“Because he had him by the….” Goldberg began, as her audio was briefly muted.

The EGOT winner was similarly censored last October when she seemingly began to say the F-word. “I didn’t say the bad word. I did not say it,” she insisted on-air.
Gates, 70, confessed to his employees on February 24 that he had affairs with two women while married to his ex-wife Melissa, but denied any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein.
“I did nothing illicit,” he insisted. “I saw nothing illicit.”
