Social media star Denise Ivonne Jarvis Gongora — who was known for her extreme plastic surgeries — died after falling from the ninth-floor balcony of a rented condo in Phuket, Thailand on Tuesday, December 9, the Daily Mail reported via Phuket News.

The Mexican-Canadian citizen was 33.

Gongora, who went by Mary Magdalene online, underwent multiple procedures all over her body, including multiple breast implants, butt lifts and implants, nose jobs and fillers and injections all over her body — many of which were performed illegally around the world. She spent an estimated $500,000 on all of the work, per The U.S. Sun.

She almost died several times from surgery complications — from a breast implant that deflated to sepsis to a “rotting” butt implant — and nearly went blind when she tattooed her eyeballs.

“It’s not a fun little adventure anymore, it’s just draining in every possible way,” she said in 2023 of having to constantly fix botched procedures. “My time gets drained, my bank account, my energy, my health. And in the long run, you just kind of end up digging yourself into a really expensive time-consuming hole.”

Shortly before her death, Gongora, who was also an artist, posted shots from the final scene of 1998’s The Truman Show featuring Jim Carrey taking a bow, with text from the movie that read: “In case I don’t see ya, good afternoon, good evening and good night,” along with a photo of herself as a child.

She also changed the username of one of her other Instagram accounts to MaryMagdaleneDied, per the Daily Mail.

“I wish I’d spent more getting to know you,” her brother Ivan wrote on Instagram on Thursday, December 11, per the Daily Mail. He also posted a pre-surgery shot of her.

“You are so funny and so creative, way more than I’ll ever be,” he added. “I love you much more than words will ever say. You are my world. I wish things were different. Thank you for everything I love you sis.”
