Rosie O’Donnell did not mince words when asked about President Donald Trump‘s UFC Freedom 250 celebration, which was held on his 80th birthday.
“It was disgraceful and embarrassing, and he should be ashamed of himself for doing it,” O’Donnell, 64, told TMZ on Monday, June 15.
When asked about Josh Hokit‘s controversial remarks about Michelle Obama — in which he claimed the former first lady was “a man” — O’Donnell hinted that Trump, 80, invokes this “racist, homophobic [and] un-American” rhetoric.
“That’s exactly what Trump is, and that’s exactly what his fans are,” she added.

The former The View co-host has been a vocal opponent of Trump’s since before he began his political career.
“He’s a liar, and a fraud, and a fake,” she said during an appearance on Today in October 2025. “If you grew up in New York, you knew that…I don’t really go for trying to nickname someone. I try to shame him, for who he is and what he is, with facts.”
She added, “He’s been threatening for 20 years to sue me. [But] you can’t sue someone who tells the truth about you.”
