Queer Eye star Karamo Brown claims he had to cancel numerous promotional appearances at the last minute because he needed to focus on self-care, but TV insiders say he may have seriously damaged his career.
Sources tell Straight Shuter that Netflix bosses were livid after the show’s 45-year-old “culture expert” backed out of multiple pre-booked promo commitments at the last minute.
“These were locked in weeks ago,” one industry insider fumes. “This wasn’t optional. It was contractual.”
According to multiple sources, Brown failed to raise concerns until the eleventh hour, leaving publicists, producers and show bookers scrambling. “If he was that uncomfortable, he should’ve spoken up long before schedules were set,” a senior TV executive tells Straight Shuter.
