A Delta Air Lines plane caught fire at Orlando International Airport on Monday, forcing nearly 300 passengers to evacuate via emergency slides.

At around 11:15 a.m. Monday, Flight 1213 was leaving the gate in preparation for takeoff en route to Atlanta, Ga., when flames erupted from one of the Airbus A330 aircraft’s two engines.

Photos and videos shared on social media showed flames and smoke coming from one of the aircraft’s engines. A video shared by X user @dylangwall shows passengers evacuating on an emergency slide on the side of the aircraft opposite the fire.

There were 282 passengers, 10 flight attendants and two pilots on board. No injuries were reported. The airport confirmed the fire was quickly extinguished.

“Delta flight crews followed procedures to evacuate the passenger cabin when flames in the tailpipe of one of the aircrafts two engines were observed,” the airline said in a statement. Delta said passengers would be transferred to another aircraft.

“We appreciate our customers cooperation and apologize for the experience. Nothing is more important than safety, and Delta teams will work to get our customers to their final destinations as soon as possible,” Delta said.
