Mary Macs Tea Room Now Shipping Southern Favorites Nationwide Through Goldbelly

A beloved Atlanta institution is now bringing its iconic flavors to tables across the country. Mary Macs Tea Room, known as “Atlantas Dining Room,” has joined the national food delivery marketplace Goldbelly, offering customers around the U.S. a chance to enjoy its signature Southern specialties at home.

Mary Macs is shipping menu favorites such as peach cobbler trays, a 24-pack of its signature cinnamon rolls, a four-pack Southern sides sampler, and fried chicken dinner kits for either four or eight people through its new partnership with Goldbelly, a national platform that provides curated access to famous dishes from renowned restaurants via direct shipping. The move extends the reach of a restaurant that has been a staple of Atlantas culinary scene since 1945.

“Mary Macs Tea Room is now accessible to even more customers,” owner Harold Martin Jr. said in a statement. “We hope to bring a bit of the Mary Macs magic home. Whether its visitors who might have stopped by our restaurant during a visit to Atlanta or a local wanting to share our made-from-scratch meals with a long-distance friend, these new options will help connect us to even more loyal fans.”

In addition to the nationwide shipping, Mary Macs has also launched a grab-and-go program at its Atlanta location. Guests can now purchase some of the same items featured on Goldbelly — including a dinner for four, the Southern sides sampler, and the restaurants famous cinnamon rolls — packaged fresh and ready to reheat at home.

Mary Macs Tea Room, founded by Mary MacKenzie in 1945, began with a single dining room on Ponce de Leon Avenue near Peachtree Street. Today it occupies a 13,000-square-foot space with six dining rooms and a full-service bar, and serves a menu of fried chicken, meatloaf, fresh vegetables, cinnamon rolls, peach cobbler, and other Southern staples. The restaurant has long been a gathering place for locals, tourists, and dignitaries alike, welcoming visitors such as James Brown, Alan Jackson, the late Congressman John Lewis, and the late President Jimmy Carter. It has also been officially recognized by the State of Georgia and the U.S. House of Representatives as “Atlantas Dining Room.”

With its new shipping and take-home options, Mary Macs Tea Room hopes to make its classic Southern comfort food a cherished part of more family meals — whether served in Atlanta or beyond.
