Man Rescued By Helicopter After Being Pulled From Ocean At California’s Mugu Rock
A man was rescued Thursday afternoon after being found in the water along the rocky coastline next to California’s Pacific Coast Highway, officials said.
The Ventura County Fire Department responded to Mugu Rock, an iconic formation on the Pacific Coast Highway, at around 4:20 p.m. Thursday for a report of a man in the water.
Firefighters arrived and began rendering aid, including CPR, before determining a helicopter hoist directly to a nearby hospital was the “safest option.”
A video shared by VCFD shows a helicopter hoisting the patient from the rocky coastline below. The man was flown to Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, per reports.
