Kanye West is pulling back the curtain on his life, his tumultuous marriage to Kim Kardashian and mental health issues in an upcoming documentary titled In Whose Name?
The film’s teaser trailer — released on Wednesday, August 13 — kicks off with a voiceover featuring West, 48, declare, “I’m off my meds for five months now,” followed by the rapper’s ex-wife Kardashian, 44, emotionally saying, “Your personality was not like this a few years ago.”
“Never tell me I’m gonna wake up one day and have nothing,” West says in a voiceover.
One moment shows the Kardashians star and West sitting on a couch, as she tells him, “We can talk about that later, but,” to which West angrily responds, “It ain’t no ‘but.’”
West, who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2016, also talks about his decision to stop taking medication. “I would rather be dead than be on medication,” the Yeezy founder says. “Either they destroy me or I destroy it.”

Throughout the teaser, West is shown hosting his “Sunday Service” church services, hanging out with his children — he and the reality star share North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 7 — and emotionally declaring that he “almost killed” his daughter during a campaign for his failed 2020 US presidential election attempt.
The trailer ends with West saying, “The best thing about being an artist and bipolar, anything you do and say is an art piece.”
According to Deadline, the footage was shot over a six-year period by filmmaker Nico Ballesteros.
As National Enquirer readers know, West — who married Bianca Censori in 2022 — has burned many bridges in recent years with his toxic social media rants. As a result, his net worth has plummeted from $2 billion to $400 million amid sponsors and business partners deserting him.
