Justin Trudeau’s Son Confirms ‘Cool’ Katy Perry Is Helping Him With Music Career
Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has got his son’s approval for dating singer Katy Perry.
In an Instagram reel posted on February 21, Xavier Trudeau can be seen chatting with his friend G Hobs about his dad’s romance with the pop star, which was made official last year.
“She’s cool, she’s nice,” Xavier says of Perry. “We talked for hours, talking about my music. She gave me advice and next steps for me and stuff.”
The 18-year-old comments follow the National Enquirer‘s report that Perry has been helping Xavier with his aspirations to be a music star himself, under the moniker Xav.
“She’s not trying to take over,” a source said at the time. “She’s nudging. She’s mentoring. And she’s honest.”
Speaking on The Brandon Gonez Show podcast in May, Xavier detailed his hopes for the future.
“I always loved music, whether it’s creating it, listening to it,” he said. “I always had a passion for it.”
