Hilton is celebrating the one-year anniversary of its partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH), a collaboration that has significantly expanded the companys luxury offerings and global footprint.
Since the alliance launched, more than 450 boutique properties have joined the Hilton–SLH partnership, up from nearly 400 a year ago. Hilton reported a 78% year-over-year increase in traffic to SLH properties via its direct booking channels as of July. The partnership has also expanded Hiltons luxury footprint from 35 to 90 countries, while its global presence has grown from 124 to 136 countries overall.
As part of this growth, Hilton gained access to destinations not previously covered in its portfolio, including Andorra, Cambodia, Norway, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Slovenia. Hilton Honors members have embraced the partnership, redeeming more than 10 billion Points for SLH stays in the past year.
“Hiltons luxury portfolio is a priority growth category for us, meeting the needs of guests worldwide who are looking for incredible hotel stays in some of the worlds most exclusive destinations,” said John Rogers, senior vice president, brand management, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific, Hilton. “Our partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World is key to that growth, helping hotel owners benefit from Hiltons strong commercial engine by connecting them to more than 226 million Hilton Honors members.”
The milestone reflects a broader shift in Hiltons luxury strategy, with the brand averaging the addition of more than one SLH property each week. The surge in direct booking traffic highlights not only consumer enthusiasm but also strong engagement from Hilton Honors members, who are increasingly using their rewards for unique stays ranging from rainforest retreats to coastal villas and luxury treehouses.
“Our exclusive partnership with Hilton continues to deliver outstanding results. This has been our strongest collaboration, driving significant bookings for our participating member hotels and attracting even more properties to our portfolio,” said Richard Hyde, chief operating officer, Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
Some of the standout new properties added through the partnership include Angkor Village Hotel in Cambodia, where guests can experience Khmer architecture, torchlit dinners, and spa treatments in tranquil gardens; The Liming Bequia in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, an intimate resort of private villas with infinity pools and starlit dining; Vila Planinka in Slovenia, offering heritage-inspired design and sustainable wines in the Jezersko Valley; and Sundy Praia in São Tomé and Príncipe, an eco-lodge nestled in the rainforest featuring villas with plunge pools, four-poster beds, and stone-carved baths.
Together, Hilton and SLH are reshaping what luxury means for travelers seeking both boutique character and the reach of a global brand.
