Heather Locklear and Lorenzo Lamas are said to be heading toward the altar! The Falcon Crest hunk, 68, and the Melrose Place spitfire, 64, are head over heels and are already mapping out a long-term future together, sources tell the National Enquirer.

“They have known each other for over 40 years so this is not some new connection,” says a source.

“Lorenzo has always had a huge crush on Heather, but the timing has never been right for them. To finally be able to make this fantasy a reality after so long is pretty intoxicating for him.”

“Heather is just as swept up — she says he makes her feel like she’s back in her 20s. She had given up hope of ever feeling this lovestruck again so it’s a very welcome surprise to suddenly be living out this rom-com–worthy plot.”

Their romance was revealed when pictures of them celebrating New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas circulated online. Then in early May, they confirmed they’re still hot and heavy when they made an appearance at Chiller Theatre Expo, a New Jersey fan convention.

Her friends are warning her to slow down, pointing out that Lorenzo, an infamous skirt-chaser, has been married six times and engaged two other times, says a source. But Heather also has a rocky track record when it comes to love. Her two marriages, to rockers Tommy Lee and Richie Sambora, ended in divorce.

“Even though Lorenzo has met Heather’s daughter and gotten her stamp of approval, it’s hard to imagine she will support her mom rushing down the aisle,” says an insider.

“In a year or two if things are still going well, then people in Heather’s life will be all for her getting hitched but not this quickly.”

But Lorenzo’s checkered romantic history “is not dissuading Heather, she says she’s finally found her Prince Charming and when he pops the question she plans to say yes, no matter who objects,” says the source.
