Good Samaritans Rescue ‘Young Man’ Found Floating In Florida Waterway, Perform CPR

Authorities in Florida warned of a heavy law-enforcement presence in Hobe Sound early Monday after paddle-boarders discovered an unresponsive person floating in the water.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office said deputies and emergency medical services responded early Monday to the 11000 block of Indian River Drive North, near SE Cabot Street and SE Heckler Drive, after a group of paddle-boarders discovered a “young man” floating in the water.

Good Samaritans pulled the young man to shore and began performing CPR until first responders arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital.

The sheriff’s office said the victim had not yet been identified, and an investigation was underway.
