Fired ‘Matlock’ Star David Del Rio Hires Hollywood Lawyer Who Worked With Kim Kardashian

After his sudden firing from Matlock, David Del Rio has hired powerful Hollywood attorney Shawn Holley, TMZ reported on Wednesday, November 5.

Holley’s celebrity clients have included Justin Bieber, Lindsay Lohan and the Kardashian/Jenner family. She was part of O.J. Simpson’s “dream team,” and in 2018, Holley worked closely with Kim Kardashian in helping free Alice Marie Johnson, who had been sentenced to life in prison for a non-violent drug arrest.

Del Rio, 38, was let go from the CBS drama on Thursday, October 9, following a week-long internal investigation into an alleged sexual assault that costar Leah Lewis claimed took place on September 26.

Lewis posted a photo of herself hugging her mother on Instagram after the news broke. “Mom is here, we’re moving forward in love and strength. I’m in good hands. Thank you to everybody for any kind of support and care. Truly, we’re moving forward in strength. Key word, strength,” she wrote.

Del Rio’s wife, Katherine, responded via an Instagram Story, calling the actress “the most disturbing human being I have ever met.”

Del Rio has not been charged with any crime.

As Enquirer previously reported, the actor has been shunned by his other costars. “It really angers him his costars don’t want to hear his side of things,” a source told the Enquirer. “They’ve already convicted him.”
