Dr. Oz Reveals President Trump Thinks Diet Coke Can ‘Kill Cancer Cells’
President Donald Trump is raising eyebrows once again — this time over a surprising claim about soda and health.
During a Tuesday, April 14, sitdown with Donald Trump Jr., on his Triggered with Donald Trump Jr. podcast, Dr. Oz revealed that the president believes drinking soda could actually kill cancer cells. The reasoning? If soda can kill grass when poured on it, it must also be able to destroy harmful cells in the body.
Oz also said the commander-in-chief often drinks soda and eats candy in front of him and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. while defending his habits.
Donald Sr., 79, even insists orange soda like Fanta is healthy because it’s “fresh squeezed,” the former talk show host explained, adding that Trump will hit a “red button” in the Oval Office to order Diet Coke on demand.
The former Apprentice host has long been known for his fast-food favorites like McDonald’s. In a C-Span clip shared by TMZ, on Monday, April 13, cameras rolled as he received a McDonald’s delivery to the White House.
This isn’t the first time that Donald Sr. has made outlandish health claims. Critics will remember when, back in April 2020, per C-Span, the president suggested that people can inject themselves with disinfectants to kill COVID-19 cells.
Within days, poison control centers in five states reported an increase in calls.
