Brooklyn Beckham’s ‘Massive Breakdown in Trust’ Allegedly Led to Scathing Statement About His Family

Brooklyn Beckham allegedly hit his breaking point regarding the ongoing feud with his family recently — just days before he posted a scathing statement on social media.

“There has been a massive breakdown in trust,” a source told Page Six in an article published on Monday, January 19. “From Brooklyn and [wife] Nicola [Peltz’s] perspective they have tried everything they can to repair the relationship privately with David and Victoria, they’ve tried to talk it out, have tried to have meetings with them, but ultimately in the end they just didn’t trust them anymore.”

The source added that the couple allegedly became frustrated when they continued to read stories about them in the media that “weren’t true.”

“They’d had enough,” the source continued. “This ultimately has become a huge power struggle between two powerful families. The couple just doesn’t want to deal with it anymore. They’ve had it and just want to move on in their lives. Last week was the last straw, they just couldn’t handle it anymore.”

The report came just hours after Brooklyn 26, posted a lengthy statement to Instagram Stories addressing the escalating tension between himself and his parents, David and Victoria Beckham. In his message, he accused David, 50, and Victoria, 51, of “trying endlessly to ruin [his] relationship” with Nicola, 31.

“My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress,” Brooklyn wrote.

“My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song,” the photographer continued. “In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead.”

“She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone,” he added. “I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”

Brooklyn concluded his message by saying that distancing himself from his family has had a positive effect on his mental wellbeing.

Neither David nor Victoria have publicly commented about the situation.
