Bill Clinton Claims No Knowledge of Epstein’s Crimes: ‘I Saw Nothing and Did Nothing Wrong’

Former President Bill Clinton is being deposed today as part of the House Oversight Committee’s investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and he claimed that he wasn’t aware of any of the late financier’s crimes.

“Now, let me say what you’re going to hear from me,” Clinton, 79, said in a statement he shared from his personal X account on Friday, February 27. “First, I had no idea of the crimes Epstein was committing. No matter how many photos you show me, I have two things that, at the end of the day, matter more than your interpretation of those 20-year-old photos.”

He continued, “I know what I saw and, more importantly, what I didn’t see. I know what I did and, more importantly, what I didn’t do. I saw nothing, and I did nothing wrong.”

Epstein was convicted after pleading guilty to soliciting a minor for prostitution in 2008, which resulted in a 13-month sentence and his registration as a sex offender.

In 2019, he was indicted and arrested on federal sex trafficking charges, but he died before ever making it to trial.

Epstein visited the White House 17 times during Clinton’s term as president from 1993 to 1995 and he flew on Epstein’s plane at least 27 times. Plus, Clinton was seen alongside Epstein in several photos released by the Department of Justice.

“But even with 20/20 hindsight, I saw nothing that ever gave me pause,” Clinton continued. “We are only here because he hid it from everyone so well for so long. And by the time it came to light with his 2008 guilty plea, I had long stopped associating with him.”

He added that it “doesn’t help” for him “to play detective 24 years later.”

As the National Enquirer previously reported, Clinton’s wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, sat for her deposition on Thursday, February 26.

Representative James Comer claimed that Hillary, 78, “deferred a lot of questions to her husband” during her deposition.

“There were at least a dozen times when she said, ‘You’ll have to ask my husband that. I can’t answer that,’” Comer, 53, said in a press conference.

While the depositions have been closed to the public, lawmakers have assured the public that they will be available via video soon.
