Avis Budget Group is reimagining the car rental process with the launch of Avis First, a premium service that offers travelers curbside pickup, personal concierge assistance, and high-end vehicles — all without the hassle of rental lines or gas station stops.

Avis First is now live at major airports including Denver, Honolulu, Palm Beach, and Fort Lauderdale, with service also available in key local markets such as Manhattan, Hoboken, Jersey City, Chicago, San Francisco, Miami, Orlando, Seattle and Washington, D.C.

The new offering positions itself not as a luxury upgrade but as a reinvention of the rental experience, aiming to provide travelers with “more comfort, more control and more time back in their day,” according to Avis Budget Group. The company says Avis First is priced for broader accessibility rather than being reserved for elite customers.

“When Warren Avis introduced rental cars at airports back in 1946, he redefined travel. With Avis First, were taking that spirit of innovation even further,” said Avis Budget Group CEO Brian Choi. “Were here to set a benchmark that exceeds the expectations of todays most demanding travelers. Avis First reflects where were headed as a company: innovating with purpose, delivering value where it matters most and doubling down on our legacy of trying harder for the customers we serve.”

Upon arrival, users receive a welcome message via the Avis app. Their concierge is waiting curbside with the vehicle — pre-cooled, connected to Apple CarPlay, and ready to go. Upon return, customers simply drop the car at departures and hand over the keys, with Avis handling the refueling at market price.

“Avis First introduces a new level of ease and efficiency, delivering curbside service and premium vehicles exactly when and where travelers need them,” said Andres Barry, EVP and Chief Commercial Officer, Americas, Avis Budget Group. “Its designed for those who expect more, with concierge-level service, elevated comfort and complete control over the journey. Its not just about getting from A to B faster, its about offering something distinct for those who value the luxury of time and service just as much as the drive itself.”
