Police in Pennsylvania are searching for two suspects who robbed the drivers of at least two Amish buggies at gunpoint.

Pennsylvania State Police said troopers responded to a report of an armed robbery in Lackawannock Township in Mercer County at around 8 p.m. Thursday. The victim reported that “while in his buggy, a vehicle approached him from the front and stopped,” police said in a statement released Sunday.

A white male suspect wearing dark clothing and a medical mask and armed with a firearm approached the buggy and demanded the victim’s wallet. The victim complied, and the suspect returned to the vehicle, described as a small black sedan, and left the scene.

A second victim told troopers that a similar robbery involving a small black sedan took place on Leesburg Station Road. The victim stated that while in his buggy, the sedan drove alongside him, ordering him to stop and hand over his wallet. The victim did not comply, however, and reported that the sedan drove away.

The second victim said that an armed man wearing dark clothing and a medical mask was in the passenger seat. Neither victim was able to give a description of the driver of the sedan.

State police are asking anyone with information about the case to come forward or submit an anonymous tip.
