After adding gilded decor pieces and molding to the Oval Office, President Donald Trump is bringing out the gold spray paint once again. This time, Air Force One is getting a makeover.
For the first time in more than 50 years, the president’s mode of air transport will be getting an exterior makeover. Swapping out the light blue and white that has been used since President John F. Kennedy’s administration, Trump has chosen red, white, gold and dark blue, NewsNation confirmed on Tuesday, February 17.
“The first C-32 has been painted and is expected to be delivered to the Air Force in the next few months,” the outlet revealed.

The president previously proposed a new color scheme of red, white and blue, but that plan “was scrapped in 2022 after the Air Force determined darker colors could cause overheating issues,” Reuters reported.
It’s unclear if a possible overheating problem has been resolved with the new plans.
