ABC News Rocked by Terry Moran’s Shocking Exit Following His Controversial Comments

Veteran ABC News correspondent Terry Moran’s shocking ouster is only the latest catastrophe to befall the network — and this latest major misstep has top execs mulling whether to totally clean house, sources tell the National ENQUIRER.

ABC has recently made a “conga line” of costly errors and rookie mistakes that have damaged its credibility and value at a time when Disney, which owns the network, is considering selling it.

Now insiders say corporate brass are “totally fed up” with the gaffes and missteps.

“[Disney CEO] Bob Iger has said he’s no longer looking to shed old-line media assets [like ABC], but that comes after he definitively told investors he was taking offers,” says a source. “At the end of the day, I believe if someone came in at the right price, he’d still pull the trigger — and these mistakes aren’t helping matters.”

“They’re enough for him to take radical action.”

Moran’s exit came after the 65-year-old newsman posted a viral social media attack on President Donald Trump and his deputy chief of staff, Stephen Miller, calling them “world-class hater[s].”

The veteran reporter, who spent nearly 28 years at ABC, had met with Trump only weeks earlier in a highly publicized face-to-face sit-down interview turned sparring match.

Moran claims he was just “telling the truth,” but as a news veteran notes, “In this new era, you have to be twice as careful. The public already thinks we’re biased — and [Terry’s] post just handed them ammo.”

Moran’s comments followed other expensive blunders, like when Good Morning America anchor George Stephanopoulos repeatedly claimed that a jury found Trump liable for raping Manhattan writer E. Jean Carroll when the president was actually found liable for sexually abusing and defaming her.

It forced Disney to settle a defamation suit filed by Trump for a whopping $16 million and George had to issue a groveling public apology that sources say destroyed his credibility.

In another shocking setback, news president Kim Godwin stepped down last year after allegedly bad-mouthing her new boss, Debra O’Connell.

Also in 2024, longtime GMA meteorologist Rob Marciano was kicked to the curb for alleged anger issues. And two years before, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes were fired for carrying on a headline-making extramarital affair.

“The powers that be have seen enough,” says a network insider. “There are billions of dollars at stake and they’re angry and justifiably so — and it might just cost everyone their jobs!”
