Liam Gallagher — who found fame as the lead singer of Brit rockers Oasis — has been caught in controversy after reports of a public fight with girlfriend Debbie Gwyther at the Chiltern Firehouse nightclub in London.
After initial claims about the couple having a confrontation, Liam went to social media to declare: “I never put my hands on any woman in a vicious manner.”
But the above video released appears to show Liam grabbing a seemingly-shocked Debbie by the throat while leaving the club.
Eyewitnesses reported that Liam had “totally lost it,” and left Debbie crying in the corridor of the elite establishment.
RadarOnline.com had previously reported that Gwyther was Gallagher’s personal assistant before the two began dating four years ago. The musician’s ex-wife, Nicole Appleton, reportedly filed for divorce after learning of their affair.
Despite the disturbing footage, however, Debbie is still defending the famously volatile rocker.
“We were drunkenly messing around,” she insisted to the UK newspaper The Mirror, “and it’s been made into something it wasn’t…Liam’s never laid a hand on me.”
