Pilot Walks Away Uninjured After Plane Crashes Upside Down In Texas

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating after a small plane crashed late Sunday night near Pearland, Texas, officials said.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said troopers responded to the scene of the crash which occurred at around 10:45 p.m. Sunday near Hastings Friendswood and Dixie Far Road in Pearland, about a quarter-mile from Pearland Regional Airport.

The plane was found upside-down in a wooded area, and the pilot, its sole occupant, walked away uninjured.

Texas DPS and Pearland Police did not immediately release details such as the aircraft model, its departure location, or a suspected cause for the crash.

The FAA is leading the investigation.
