Vaughn revealed one wild time on the set of “The Magnificent Seven,” as co-star
Steve McQueen took their equally magnificent appetites to a Mexican whorehouse after smoking reefer on set. "After arriving," Vaughn recalled, "the madam asked, 'How many girls would you like?' Steve said, ‘SEVEN! We are ‘The Magnificent Seven’ and we want seven girls.’ Even though not all seven of us were there!”

But Robert and Steve ran into a small problem with the bouncers after they had their fill and were presented with a bill. “Steve was notorious for never carrying money,” Robert said. “I didn’t know this, as it was the first time we’d ever been out together.” When Steve presented a credit card, the bouncers went loco and the duo made their escape.

“I jumped out the window and ended up climbing over a wall, and I thought, ‘This is the end for me.’” Instead, Vaughn lived to act another FIVE decades — eventually quitting drugs and booze — but not women.

"We spent an evening at Pacific Ocean Park in Santa Monica," recalled Vaughn. "Elvis had rented the amusement park for a party for his friends. That's where Natalie and I, during a quiet interlude spent looking into the dark swirling ocean waters and sipping wine from paper cups, talked about our mutual fear of drowning."

Judy Garland
It's a terribly chilling memory in light of what happened to Natalie in 1981,
when she drowned during a trip with husband
Robert Wagner on their yacht. Vaughn also saw
Judy Garland at her worst during a swanky Hollywood bash. He was called over an old friend, actor Mark Herron, to sit with him and the legendary "Wizard Of Oz" star.

"As Judy
carried on drinking, she grew increasingly boisterous," recalled Vaughn. "By the time
[Elizabeth] Taylor and
[Richard] Burton arrived, she was bubbling with manic energy. Seeing Taylor, she yelled: 'Here she comes, Miss MGM T!ts!' — followed by: 'And look who's with her: that no-talent, nasal-voiced pockmarked son-of-a-bitch from Wales!'"

Judy then begged Vaughn to dance with her, but it wasn't a romantic turn. As the actor recalled: "Mark, who would later become her fourth husband, pleaded: 'Please, Robert, maybe she'll calm down — or better yet, pass out!'"

Vaughn would eventually get married to
beautiful brunette actress Linda Staab. They would also adopt and raise two children together — but only after Vaughn assured The ENQUIRER in 1973 that they'd already agreed that marriage and children weren't in their future!
