Residents of a coastal Texas community were warned Sunday to contact police if they saw packages of cocaine washing up on the beach after a raid on a ship offshore.

The City of Jamaica Beach on Sunday shared photos of officers on the beach, and said local police weren’t out there hunting Easter eggs, but wrapped packages of cocaine.

“It seems there was a raid on the ship offshore and the crew started dumping large amounts overboard, and its washing up on the coast line,” city officials said.

Jamaica Beach Police and Galveston Police responded to the beach to collect the cocaine packages. Residents are advised to contact police if they spot any packages.

“Please call the Jamaica Beach Police Department if you notice any signs of packages on the West End beach,” city officials said.
