An Ohio Uber driver was arrested while wearing a “Retired Drug Dealer” t-shirt for allegedly having methamphetamine and various drug paraphernalia in his car, police said.

The Springfield Township Police Department said a “concerned” Uber passenger texted 911 to report that the driver “casually mentioned” having a false-bottom aerosol can filled with methamphetamine in the vehicle.

The following night, at around 3 a.m. April 28, Officer John Glas spotted the same vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Massillon Road near Cates Drive. Inside the Uber driver’s car, officers found a false-bottom aerosol can containing 24 grams of meth, along with four pills, a meth pipe, a digital scale, packaging baggies, cash and three cell phones.

The driver, 47-year-old Robert Rose, denied ownership of the aerosol can, police said. He was arrested and charged with drug trafficking, possession of felony drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Photos shared by the police department show Rose wearing a “Retired Drug Dealer” t-shirt as he was taken into custody.
