Authorities in Nebraska say they caught one alleged LEGO thief because she tripped in the snow while trying to flee, but a second suspect got away, and there could be more.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a report of a robbery in progress at the Target store located at North 132nd Street and West Maple Road in Omaha on Saturday afternoon. They arrived to find two women “attempting to push carts loaded with Lego merchandise out a security door to a waiting vehicle.”

When the two women spotted the deputies they fled, but one of them, identified as Stephanie M. Brown, tripped in the snow and was apprehended.

Brown was charged with theft, obstructing an officer, and possession of a controlled substance, along with an existing bench warrant.

According to the sheriff’s office, Brown’s “crew” is suspected in two “nearly identical” thefts at Target stores in the Omaha area on Friday.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information that can help them “put the pieces together on this toy theft troop” to come forward or submit an anonymous tip.
