There were multiple injuries but no fatalities when a skydiving plane crashed in Tennessee on Sunday with 20 people on board, officials said.

The Tullahoma Police Department and Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to the scene of the crash on Old Shelbyville Road in Tullahoma, about 75 miles southeast of Nashville, shortly after 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

According to police, the DeHaviland DH-6 Twin Otter propeller plane had 20 people on board when it experienced an “unknown issue” and crashed shortly after taking off from Tullahoma Regional Airport.

The crash “resulted in an impact on trees and terrain” but there were no reported injuries from the ground, officials said during a news conference.

A video shared by Tennessee Highway Patrol shows the wrecked plane in an open field of grass near a group of buildings.

Six people on board the plane were hospitalized, one of those in critical condition. Some were airlifted to nearby hospitals, while others were transported by ambulance. Some passengers with minor injuries were treated by medics at the scene.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation and Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating the cause of the crash.
