Over 60 years after the murder of President John F. Kennedy, The National ENQUIRER has uncovered shocking evidence suggesting that devious deepstate operatives led by FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover and the CIA orchestrated the assassination of America’s 35th president — and framed patsy Lee Harvey Oswald for the deadly deed!

The damning details are buried among the tens of thousands of previously classified documents publicly revealed March 18 by the National Archives at the order of President Donald Trump.

The ENQUIRER utilized our unparalleled network of sources to sift through the dossier dump and connect the dots, which point to Hoover and the CIA conspiring to murder 46-year-old Kennedy in 1963!

“I don’t think there’s any other way to view it,” asserts JFK assassination researcher Leon Wagener. “They killed him — they killed the president!”

Insiders claim that Hoover and the CIA each had an ax to grind with the charismatic leader. Cunning Hoover — the FBI’s ironfisted director since 1924 — feared he’d be replaced following the 1964 presidential election and bristled over JFK demanding that he fight the Mafia instead of communists.

As The ENQUIRER previously reported, Hoover also refused to investigate Oswald after JFK’s death. In a blunt memo dated Nov. 24, 1963 — two days after the tragedy, when nightclub owner Jack Ruby gunned down Oswald at a Dallas police station — Hoover huffs, “There is nothing further on the Oswald case except that he is dead!”

Meanwhile, ousted CIA head Allen Dulles — who was forced to resign by Kennedy after the botched 1961 Bay of Pigs invasion, in which agency-trained exiles failed to overthrow Fidel Castro’s communist government in Cuba — believed that JFK’s olive branch to the Soviet Union would destroy the country!

“Kennedy was looking to end the Cold War, giving his famous Strategy of Peace address at American University just five months before his death,” Wagener tells The ENQUIRER. “The hawks weren’t going to have it. They wanted war with the Soviets.”

The biggest bombshell in the unveiled files points the finger squarely at the CIA, which believed that Kennedy had sought to weaken its power.

In an explosive July 19, 1967, memo, an unidentified author references a passage in the magazine Ramparts about alleged CIA operative and former U.S. Army Capt. John Garrett Underhill. The quoted piece notes Underhill was on a “first-name basis with the top brass at the Pentagon” and “on intimate terms” with high-ranking CIA officials, in addition to being a friend of Samuel Cummings.

Legal gun dealer Cummings provided weapons to Klein’s Sporting Goods — the Chicago mail-order business from which Oswald purchased the Carcano rifle he allegedly used to fire upon Kennedy.

The passage also states that on Nov. 23, 1963 — the day after Kennedy was killed — Underhill fled Washington, D.C., for a friend’s house in New Jersey.

“Late in the evening he showed up … He was very agitated,” the copy reads. “A small clique within the CIA was responsible for the assassination, he confided, and he was afraid for his life and probably would have to leave the country.”

Underhill died in his Washington, D.C., home — nearly six months after Kennedy perished. He was shot behind the ear in what the coroner controversially ruled a suicide.

Sources say that Jim Garrison — the crusading New Orleans District Attorney who unsuccessfully brought CIA associate Clay Shaw to trial for Kennedy’s murder — later told a journalist that Underhill had “valuable” intel on JFK’s death and he had wanted to interview him!

Moles say the documents contain other tantalizing clues.

For example, a November 1991 memo from a CIA official states that he spoke with an American professor with a pal who worked for the KGB, the Soviet Union’s main security agency.

The U.S. spook states the friend, “Slava” Nikonov, had reviewed “five thick volumes,” noting how Russian spies “watched” Oswald “closely and constantly while he was in the USSR,” and that Soviet intelligence judged him a “poor shot” after he undertook target practice!

As The ENQUIRER previously reported, former U.S. Marine Oswald was recruited by Soviet spies during his posting as a radar man in Japan — and later defected to the communist country in October 1959, only to return to the U.S. nearly three years later.

Other noteworthy nuggets in the previously classified collection include:

  • A mysterious 1978 letter mailed to the British Embassy in Washington, D.C., from a person with a California address who called himself Sergyj Czornonoh. The writer claimed that while he had been detained at a London airport by immigration officials on July 18, 1963 — four months before JFK’s death — he warned lawmen that Oswald was going to kill the president!
  • A document from the House Select Committee on Assassinations describing how an audio analysis of Dallas police channels from Nov. 22, 1963, determined that four shots were fired at Kennedy — one more than cops claimed Oswald had squeezed off!
  • A 1971 CIA file revealing that Oswald met with Valeriy Vladimirovich Kostikov — the KGB agent in charge of sabotage and assassinations in the Western Hemisphere — at the Soviet Embassy in Mexico City in 1963. Yet, the document asserts the meeting was solely for the purpose of Oswald obtaining a Soviet visa.

Sources say the cache could alter the way Americans view JFK’s death, but certain essential files are still missing.

Meanwhile, Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna — the Republican congresswoman heading Trump’s Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets — hailed the release and says her investigation can now begin.

“After six decades of deception and secrecy surrounding the assassination of President Kennedy, the Trump administration is lifting the veil and giving the
American people the truth,” Luna tells The ENQUIRER.

“By investigating the newly released JFK files, consulting experts, and tracking down surviving staff of various investigative committees, my task force will get to the bottom of this mystery and share our findings with the American people!”
