Katy Perry calls the shots in her relationship with Justin Trudeau, a source tells the National Enquirer.
“She’s very happy with the direction they’re heading in — probably because she’s the one setting the agenda!” says the source. “But Justin seems glad to let her take the lead.”
As Enquirer previously reported, the pop star, 41, has been eager to dive into politics and philanthropy alongside the former Canadian prime minister, 54.
“There are doors Katy can open and attention she can attract that Justin never could on his own,” the source notes. “They want to make a positive impact on the world together.”

First linked last summer — shortly after her split from fiancé Orlando Bloom — the power couple made a splash at January’s World Economic Forum in Switzerland, with Perry proudly supporting Trudeau as he spoke during the Global Soft Power Summit.
“People really can see Katy becoming an Angelina Jolie-like figure, where she and Justin go to trouble spots and shine a light on humanitarian crises to help get them resolved,” adds the source. “She’s a smart woman who doesn’t do anything halfway.”
For more than two decades, Jolie, 50, served as a Goodwill ambassador and special envoy for the United Nations, bringing awareness to the plight of refugees while completing over 60 field missions, per the UNHCR.
Now, says Enquirer’s source, the “Dark Horse” singer is headed in the same do-gooder direction, bolstered by her latest romance.
“Katy is very protective of this relationship,” dishes the source. “She wants it to last with Justin.”
