An injured hiker was rescued from a Washington mountain by helicopter on Thursday, officials said.

King County Sheriff’s Office Air Support said an injured hiker called 911 from Mailbox Peak to request help on Thursday. Mailbox Peak, with a 4,841-foot elevation, offers a popular but challenging hike to the summit, where views include the nearby summits of Ranier, Granite and Bandera.

A video shared by KCSO Air Support shows its Guardian 2 helicopter responding to the scene. After hoisting the hiker to the helicopter, she was flown to Bandera State Airport. A waiting ambulance then transported her to the hospital.

The sheriff’s office did not specify the nature or severity of the hiker’s injuries.
