A Florida woman known as the “Candyman” and another suspect were arrested for drug distribution as a result of “Operation Tooth Fairy,” authorities said.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office said a long-term investigation led to the arrests of two people “deeply tied to narcotics distribution throughout Martin County,” including a woman known among drug users as “Candyman.”

During the course of Operation Tooth Fairy, detectives identified 41-year-old Julianne C. Perez a.k.a. “Candyman” and 28-year-old Dillon James Clark as major distributors of narcotics including fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamines, and other drugs.

Perez allegedly packaged fentanyl in small folds resembling candy wrappers, even dyeing the narcotics in bright colors to disguise them. The sheriff’s office said Perez admitted her products were potentially lethal.

Lab testing confirmed the drugs contained xylazine, a veterinary sedative, and para-fluorofentanyl, a synthetic fentanyl analog, both of which the sheriff’s office said are “even more lethal than fentanyl itself.”

Detectives learned customers were often seen waiting outside Perez’s residence for drugs. A search warrant was executed, and deputies found “trafficking amounts of narcotics.”

During the course of the investigation, the sheriff’s office seized a total of 278.6 grams of fentanyl, 83.2 grams of cocaine, 136.4 grams of methamphetamines and 42 oxycodone pills.

Perez allegedly admitted her drug trafficking activities, and was booked into the Martin County Jail following medical clearance, the sheriff’s office said.
