A Florida 13-year-old has been arrested for the second time for allegedly threatening to commit a school shooting, authorities said.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said the boy was previously arrested in September 2024 for making an online school threat from his PlayStation.

On Thursday, the boy was arrested for a second time after the Volusia County Schools Gaggle system “caught another direct threat written on his school laptop at Riverview Learning Center in Ormond Beach,” the sheriff’s office said.

The boy was charged with making a written threat to commit a mass shooting, which is a felony.
