After seeing explosive popularity at its first New York City location, Fabrik is expanding its “Third Space Network” with a new location in Brooklyn opening this month, with plans for national expansion.

Fabrik, co-founded by Jaclyn Pascocello and Gwen Wiscount, aims to tackle the “loneliness epidemic” by creating dedicated community spaces that are neither home nor work. Since launching in May 2024, Fabrik’s Tribeca location is at capacity, hosting more than 130 communities and more than 200 monthly events from book clubs to fitness groups.

As Fabrik offers members affordable spaces to connect, it also serves to bolster struggling commercial real estate. Landlords benefit from flexible, short-term leases that require no buildout costs for underutilized office spaces.

A new location at 20 Jay Street in Brooklyn’s DUMBO district is set to open next week, offering more opportunities for New Yorkers to join communities and clubs aligned with their interests. Members can attend events or just stop by to hang out and meet people, while member hosts can host larger events.

Pascocello, former CEO of Heywear and COO of Spacious, which was acquired by WeWork, specializes in creating meaningful human connections through innovative business models, and brings her hospitality and customer experience leadership to Fabrik’s mission.

Wiscount, meanwhile, has developed and scaled more than 45 companies across 26 industries as a partner at FullFunnel. A two-time Chief Revenue Officer with multiple Inc. 1000 placements, Gwen is spearheading Fabrik’s expansion strategy.

As the upcoming Brooklyn location builds on the success of Fabrik’s flagship Tribeca location, the company plans further national expansion this year.
