Tatum O’Neal has looked better. The actress was hospitalized on Tuesday, March 26 — and shared a photo of her sick and disheveled figure in a hospital bed.
“I MADE IT!! Walking, talking dancing, souls cycle hiking in my near future,” she captioned the alarming Instagram snapshot.
Tatum, 55, underwent back surgery, which is what put her in the hospital bed. Hours later, however, she shared another photo of herself walking the hospital halls with a walker.
“Day of surgery I chose to walk three times down that massive hallway. Had the ALIF Anterior lumbar inter body fusion . Congrats to #drneelanand master all things spine. And thank you laura balesty for being so helpful to me and @amandaarcherisme and @james_maas✔️☘️. To you my darling Sean I don’t know what I’d do without you your sage-like wisdom and belief in me through all my fuckups with which there were many. Without you I would not have made it for sure!!! Thank you my darling son !!! There are no words to describe my love for you honey . I love you. ? ?,” she wrote.
The Paper Moon actress also battles rheumatoid arthritis. “It’s not curable but you can go into remission… I had to restructure my friends and support system. You have to find a core group of family and friends to love you and stand by you,” she told the Arthritis Foundation in 2016.
