California Man Arrested For Attempted Carjacking Of A Garbage Truck
A California man is facing charges after he was captured on video allegedly attempting to carjack a garbage truck.
The Santa Ana Police Department on Tuesday released a surveillance video of the attempted carjacking of a Republic Waste Services truck parked outside a shopping plaza.
The suspect, who was not named by police, can be seen approaching the passenger side of the garbage truck and climbing into the cabin. According to police, the suspect “simulated having a weapon,” forcing the driver to flee the vehicle.
The suspect attempted to flee in the truck, but police arrived on the scene and stopped him.
Police said the suspect was arrested and booked at the Santa Ana Jail for attempted carjacking.
