Pop Star Adam Levine is back in the iconic red chair on The Voice — but with the jaw-dropping condition that Blake Shelton be banished from the spotlight!

Sources close to the show reveal the Maroon 5 frontman’s return was contingent on his country crooning former nemesis being completely out of the picture, even though producers wanted BOTH bros to return together.

“Adam loved the idea of reclaiming his Voice throne and bringing a rock-star edge back to the panel,” spills an insider. “But he made it crystal clear that he would NOT return with Blake!”

The two were once The Voice’s most beloved bromance, bickering and bantering their way into America’s hearts. But behind the scenes, their friendship soured, especially after Levine’s abrupt 2019 exit from the NBC hit.

“Adam hated how producers played favorites with Blake,” spills a Voice production source. “There was no way he was going to let that happen again.”

Another insider shares: “Adam sees this as a fresh start. He’s not interested in sharing the spotlight with Blake again. No cowboy hats, no twang, and no more second fiddle. If Blake hadn’t left in 2023, there is no way Adam would be returning!”

While producers were eager to bring Levine back, some are already questioning his diva move.

“This show thrives on drama,” a veteran industry exec dishes. “Adam refusing to engage with Blake is a mistake — their tension actually makes him more interesting!”

Meanwhile, sources say Blake is unbothered.

“Blake doesn’t lose sleep over Adam,” a friend of the country superstar laughs. “If Adam wants to throw a tantrum, let him!”
