Dolly Parton Caught Up In Confederate Flag Storm

Proud “redneck” DOLLY PARTON is sure to be red-faced over a relative’s loyalty to the Confederate flag!

Most Americans want the controversial symbol banned after photos surfaced showing Dylann Roof – who’s charged with killing nine people at a historic black church – posing with a Confederate flag.

But The National ENQUIRER has learned country superstar Dolly’s brother-in-law, Donald Dean, has displayed two Confederate flags outside his home!

“This is going to start a new family feud between Dolly and her husband, Carl!” a source close to the 69-year-old showbiz legend told The ENQUIRER.

“There’s already trouble in their marriage – and now this! Dolly cannot afford to get caught up in this national scandal.”

Since the cold-blooded massacre on June 17 in Charleston, S.C., top politicians have called for the Confederate flag to be banished, and retailers have pulled it off their shelves.

“Dolly is one of country music’s biggest legends, and she’s equally loved by both white and black fans. But her husband Carl’s redneck brother, Donald, proudly flies the Confederate flag!” an eyewitness told The ENQUIRER.

In September 2014, Dolly told a magazine she had come a long way from her dirt-poor upbringing in rural Tennessee, but was still proud to call herself a redneck.

“It’s a compliment to me,” Dolly said. “We were really redneck, hillbilly people. And I’m proud of it.”

But the source added: “The last thing Dolly will want is to be attached to a racist shame.

“It’s apparent she’s going to be embarrassed that Donnie is such a redneck bumpkin. Certainly she was as sickened as the rest of the country over the Charleston massacre.”
